Antaun Teasley

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — According to 7News sources, the victim of the shooting at Mansion nightclub is Antaun Teasley, personal chef of the Miami Heat’s Norris Cole.Later Tuesday afternoon, police confirmed the identity of the victim as Teasley, after notifying his next of kin. Teasley was also a chef to other celebrities and was known as Young Chef in Instagram. Tuesday morning, his Instagram account was filled with condolences. Sentiments were all sent to Cole. The shooting happened at about 3:40 a.m., Tuesday, inside the nightclub, located at 1235 Washington Avenue. “In the area, everybody dropped down and started running, it was like a stampede,” said Nefreteri Tomalo, who was inside the club. Another club goer said, “People was running everywhere, you feel me?” Tomalo added, “Somebody saw a gun, and so I found out there was a gun, and so people were leaving and running away.” Shala White, a club-goer, said a security guard signaled the DJ to stop the music, after the shooting. “A security guard got up and made a sign to cut the music,” she said. Miami Beach Police investigators said an altercation in or around the VIP section led to the shooting. “A fight erupted inside the club,” said Miami Beach Police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez. “When the dust settled, the victim was found with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, where he has since passed away.” Rescue crews transported the wounded man to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are investigating. “Right now, we have several witnesses at the police station that we’re interviewing, trying to give us a clearer picture of what happened prior to the shooting,” said Hernandez. Police are still searching for the shooter. If you have any information on that can help investigators, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
