A woman and her two teenagers were found dead in their home in West Palm Beach’s most exclusive neighborhood.
Police are not saying exactly how it happened, but initial signs point to a murder-suicide.
Police are still working the scene at Pershing Way less than a block off Flagler Drive and the Intracoastal in the El Cid neighborhood.
Police are not releasing names or exactly what they believe happened. But police say they found the bodies of a woman and a boy and girl, both in their late teens.
Police say they made the discovery with the woman’s ex-husband, who along with other family members got emails overnight from the ex-wife indicating she might harm herself and the kids. The ex was on his way to the home as he called 9-1-1.
Police say it appears a gun was involved. There was no forced entry and this does not appear to be random.
The ex-husband is not a suspect.
Neighbor Rod Tinson said the deaths come as a shock.
“It’s a shame,” he said. “You know it’s just sickening to hear. The kids, too. The teenage kids won’t have a life to grow up to.”
Lila Young lives in neighborhood and says her thoughts are with the survivors.
“We feel for the family,” she said. “We don’t know exactly what’s happened. But we just really feel for them.”
The neighbors say the family seemed nice; the ex-husband who survives was involved in real estate, they said.
